past 2 days have been enjoyable. am happy ^^ yesterday involved a peer network gathering..the usual friendly get-to-know-each-other sort of social activities. which concluded with the INDISPENSABLE FREE MEAL: SALAD, PASTA AND DESSERT XDXD.. joined leonard afterwards for his little birthday gathering at a cosy malaysian place near uni called kopitiam and spent my time there watching everyone else eat. heh. headed back to leonard's empty house and watched the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. was good movie =) then sat around the dinner table and sang happy birthday and watched leonard eat his one slice of cake. and then we went home. all in all, it was a pretty quiet affair. a very small and intimate get-together where we just enjoyed each other's company. didn't end up at some posh place, didn't end up spending heaps, and didn't end up crawling our way home from the city totally smashed. and nobody threw up ^.-
caught up with a few uni friends today..my original mpo debate group back from the first semester. it was a great comfort knowing that we hadn't changed. too much. especially as it's been so long since we'd all met up properly. and also because i'm getting the impression that uni isn't exactly an easy environment to sustain friendships since the people you see changes every semester..
somehow managed to bump into a random person almost everywhere we went: ann from blethics was dining with her friend at ramen kan. headed to passionflower for dessert (ahH tiramisu~) and benson from theresa's unsw group was working there. went to pavilion then moved on to sharkies when we realised we were sitting right in front of the speakers. bumped into robin (former alias "panface") at the bar. i am SERIOUSLY SUBSTANTIALLY SURPRISED.
sharkies was good fun ^^ some random friendly viet guy offered us seats when he realised we were seat-less. and so we had a chat with some random people. i managed to get an answer to something that's been puzzling me for a long time now: what defines drunk?? like REALLY, what defines drunk as opposed to tipsy?? ..in the opinion of the random viet guy, it's when you can't control what you're doing.. you'd sure as hell remember everything, otherwise you would've passed out ..as for those who say they forget, that's just an excuse. i actually found that definition made things a lot clearer =D ..or was that meant to be obvious?
