it's mid autumn festival today~! mmmmm mooncake =D=D
yesterday went to janice's to celebrate; comprising ben, hui, janice, margaret, mina, shannon, zhiyoong. spent the day making a chicken caesar ALL BY MYSELF *grins* and headed over in the arvo. argHH totally missed her house because it's been so long since my aunt last gave me a lift >=(
so spent the whole time playing various games.. and stayed until 1smth apparently? i don't even remember.. i just remember those yawns i kept letting out while i was trying to play mini mahjong.
pity the weather didn't hold. it was so bloody windy. 風がびゅうびゅうふぃたよ!!さむかったな~ started out dining on janice's porch. but then we got a bit sick of collecting the flying plates, serviettes, plastic cutlery and various others. and we were freezing already.
later we realised it rained. and we'd left paper lanterns outside. not only were they blown flat, they left fluorescent streaks running down janice's white fence >< *expresses regret for failing to capture the sorry sight*
ended up eating heaps. as you do. but damn shannon for those 4 packets of tim tams omfg. on top of bbq, apple/potato/egg salad, caesar, sara lee cheesecake *glares at shannon*. and oh mooncake. i am now fat-fat >=( but waHH that green tea mocchi courtesy of mina.. so0o good.... ><
played with paper lanterns indoors. was so0oo pretty~!! but uHHh my first one caught fire >< then when i chucked it in the sink it dyed it orange and the candle went down janice's drain *hangs head in shame*
*******
and here's what i ripped off ben's blog..
...had an excellent time. even stained my hands which are still stained like the white fence
what with the flying plates and cutlery, mina and i washing hands with warm water for minutes, standing under the pagoda and just glimpsing the moon, janice's brother bbqing in the freezing cold, yeh.
oh, and way too much thinking yesterday... counting horses, roses in dice, mahjong, blanketing ourselves, getting twisted with twister, counting numbers and fingers, murdering people... was fun though...
*******
thankful to hear that apparently some people who did japanese for the hsc in the year above us would incessantly mutter japanese in every waking minute. i'm not insane after all~! *immense relief*
