went to the airport by train today. omfg i didn't imagine the fares to be that much of a rort. $8.70 from penshurst and another $8.70 to st james. oh and that's on CONCESSION..
matt and mon and 志都季 were leaving. got a bit confusing walking around the airport to say my goodbyes to them individually .. i think most of my time there was spent trying to find them again =.=" at one stage i got approached by a security guard who asked if my name was susan ..?! like i looked about as lost as a missing person..o.O
still i think i managed to see everyone off properly =) helped monica find presents for her cousins in china, called matt and made him come out of the departures gate to at least meet up with mon before he left, and eventually sat around with 志都季 and some other japanese exchange students .. and got mocked for considering yokohama for 2007 ... =(
the sad thing is, there's going to be even more farewells to come.

work for 4hrs. pretty damn hectic with several hiccups along the way.. work colleague got this customer really pissed because she couldn't find her ring which was supposedly back from repairs. apparently the customer had been trying to find this ring for the past 3 weeks and been in the store several times and my colleague failed to recognise her when she should have.
and the infamous $5-layby-payment lady dropped by to pay me a visit. it was.. fascinating to say the least. noticed her first looking at the cabinet.. must admit i was a bit struck with her attire, given she looked like an old woman and she was wearing heavy makeup, sunnies, a headscarf.. i smiled at her. she beamed back. she approached me and i was even more struck by her appearance.. cobalt eyeshadow all over her lids and bright red lipstick all over her mouth. and there were lipstick stains on her teeth.
then she got a bit too friendly...
